My sister always sends me flowers for my birthday. I thought it was peculiar at first. I was living in a dorm and got a lot of comments, for sure. But now I understand it as a representation of her love and I even look forward to getting them. Be happy that someone cares enough to send you flowers. And maybe send HER flowers on HER birthday. I bet she'd love it.

LOL… run… run from the flowers before they turn you into a girl!!! Ha ha…. Seriously, I agree with gadgitgirlmbl they’re just flowers which is a sign of love and feelings for you. It’s a nice thing that your aunt is showing you in a way that she can while being away from you. Don’t be so nasty about it. If you’re that embarrassed then hide them like Double X said from your guy friends, but say thanks to your aunt and show her some respect too.

I understand it’s a little unusual for men, but I doubt anyone will think less of you at all truly for merely recieving flowers from a family member. I am surprised your mother doesn’t understand how you’re feeling though, I’ve recieved embarressing gifts before but my parents were always understanding and they felt less guilt than me when disposing of them. Your birthday is supposed to be an enjoyable time for you, and the last thing she should be worrying about is etiquette on your behalf. I think it would be quite easy for her to discretely hint your aunt to not send them, she might not succeed, but I’m surprised she will not even attempt to remedy the situation. But as i said, don’t worry about it, it’s likely no one will even see them, make sure your mates aren’t around when they’re getting delievered if you can and put them in a room where your friends won’t go when they come round? I’m sure may guys your age feel the same way, but when you get older I think most realise that they’re just a nice gesture. Hope you have a good birthday!

I think they are a waste of money, but it seems that your Mom likes to have your flowers around the house. When you get your own place, you can tell your aunt you'd rather have socks or underwear. LOL

Maybe you can get some ideas from this.

It was my friends birthday & she had to work. I knew she would be home at 6pm. Before she got home I placed a rose & birthday card in her mailbox & an envelope with "read me" on her front door.
The envelope note read:
"I know that at times (ok most of the time) I annoy you with my questions & weird sense of humour, I’m kinda sorry but not really, I’m completely relaxed & am my true self when with you, You’re such a great friend. You’re words of wisdom & encouragement have seen me through bad days. Thank you for being a truly amazing friend all my love V.
p.s. Hope you don’t mind your uncle gave me the spare key & I used your kitchen to make you a cake.
p.p.s. I know you’ve been bored & lonely ’cause your friends have gone home for the Uni holidays so…"

Inside her front door I placed rose petals & small incense candles leading to her bedroom (where she spends most of her time). A note on her bedroom door read "Tonight is the night" (I was always too busy for what she kept asking) The cake was on her desk with an "eat me" note, a knife & plate next to the cake read "use me". under the plate a note had a clue to where I had hidden a present (8 clues 8 presents in total) The last present had a note with "phone me please".

5min before she’d be home & with everything in place, I hid outside. After she went inside I waited by her front door for her to phone me. When my phone rang, I rang her doorbell to suprise her. We spent the night eating cake & all her fave foods while watching her fave movies(which is what I had been too busy for)
The presents were her fave dvds.
When the Uni. holidays ended I organised a party for her & her friends. As presents the party photos were given to her in a photo album, which was signed by her friends & a cd of her fave songs & a dvd of Q&As I made with her friends.
She tells everyone it’s the best birthday of all time.
What made it all the more special for her was 1. I don’t like most of her fave movies or fave food. 2. I spent alot of time & effort to make for 2 great nights.
Her happiness was my happiness.
Movie nights (Zzzzfest) is now a weekly thing. She has bad taste in movies, I mean chick flicks yuck! but it’s each others company that counts.

well my brother got flowers from his gir freind and he said well atleast she thouht of me and i gave my boyfreind flowers and her sister said he waters them every day so dont worry it is sooo normal i mean you should like them its alright and also u can pass it on to a girl u like or ur girlfreind and girls love it when a guy brings them flowers! hope i helped!

take her somewhere special..like a mountain with nice views or trails.. i dont know where u live or how much money u got(lol) but a perfect gift would be to take her on a hot air balloon..or something along those lines..as long as its somewhere special..
